Every child deserves a champion; an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connections and insists they become the best they can possibly be.

Dear RideOut Elementary Families and Community Members,

Welcome to RideOut Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! I am honored to lead this remarkable school as your Principal. Our school is built on academic excellence with the belief that all our students can and will learn. Our staff holds our students at a high standard and they are provided with high academic rigor as well as consistent behavioral and character education through our PBIS program.

We take great pride in the community of learners within the walls of our building. Our students, teachers, staff and parents are dedicated to making this an outstanding school. We have a collective vision of excellence and we have high expectations for each of our students. As we venture through the next phase of recovering from Covid and the barriers in place we are excited to have parents back in our building. Parents, guardians and families are a crucial piece in the education of our students.

RideOut Elementary offers a variety of extracurricular activities for our students to participate in throughout their school years. We have Safety Patrols, Robotics Club, Robotics team, Chorus, Art Show participants, a mentor program, Math Team, Track team along with several other opportunities that pop up throughout the year. These opportunities allow our students to engage in academics as well as explore opportunities to build on the whole child.

As a product of Clay County Schools, a parent with 4 children attending 3 different Clay County Schools I am honored to work and lead in such an amazing County. I am invested in education within our county and most importantly supporting the students, teachers, staff and families of RideOut Elementary. I am excited to see what the future holds for our beautiful school and community of learners.

Your Principal,

Trish Stewart

Assistant Principal, Bree Hellwig

It is a privilege to serve as Assistant Principal at RideOut Elementary. I look forward to collaborating with faculty, staff, parents, families, and community members as we foster a successful and nurturing environment for our students. At RideOut we have high expectations founded on the belief that every child is capable and that every child can learn.

Our Roadrunners demonstrate Respect, Accountability, Courtesy, and Engagement. Our teachers and staff work hard to provide a strong culture of learning through academic rigor, student engagement, and benchmark-aligned content. We promote a positive student-centered environment where students have many opportunities for growth and learning. We strive to provide a well-rounded experience for all learners, to include extracurricular opportunities, enrichment, and community events.

Our parents and families are instrumental in RideOut’s success and I look forward to a productive partnership with all stakeholders. I can’t wait to get to know all of our students, and their families, throughout this year.

Sincerely,

Bree Hellwig
