Dear RideOut Elementary Families and Community Members,

Welcome to RideOut Elementary, home of the Roadrunners! I am honored to lead this remarkable school as your Principal. Our school is built on academic excellence with the belief that all our students can and will learn. Our staff holds our students at a high standard and they are provided with high academic rigor as well as consistent behavioral and character education through our PBIS program.

We take great pride in the community of learners within the walls of our building. Our students, teachers, staff and parents are dedicated to making this an outstanding school. We have a collective vision of excellence and we have high expectations for each of our students. As we venture through the next phase of recovering from Covid and the barriers in place we are excited to have parents back in our building. Parents, guardians and families are a crucial piece in the education of our students.

RideOut Elementary offers a variety of extracurricular activities for our students to participate in throughout their school years. We have Safety Patrols, Robotics Club, Robotics team, Chorus, Art Show participants, a mentor program, Math Team, Track team along with several other opportunities that pop up throughout the year. These opportunities allow our students to engage in academics as well as explore opportunities to build on the whole child.

As a product of Clay County Schools, a parent with 4 children attending 3 different Clay County Schools I am honored to work and lead in such an amazing County. I am invested in education within our county and most importantly supporting the students, teachers, staff and families of RideOut Elementary. I am excited to see what the future holds for our beautiful school and community of learners.

Dear Parents and Community Members,

Hello and welcome to RideOut Elementary. I am very excited to be a part of leading this tremendous school with such a dynamic staff, stellar students, and supportive parents and community members.

RideOut Elementary School is part of the Clay County School District, located in Middleburg, FL.  We offer a full academic program to approximately 600 students. Our school motto is: R.A.C.E. to Success. This means our students, staff, and faculty are expected to demonstrate our Guidelines for Success by being Respectful, Accountable, Courteous, and Engaged in everything they do.  Students are challenged and rewarded every day in this rich learning environment. In addition to the core subject areas of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, Students at RideOut Elementary School have the opportunity to participate in art, music, PE, STEM, and Media Tech.

Families and community members are so important to our success at RideOut.. Parents are welcome additions, and we always look forward to seeing parents in classrooms engaged in meaningful work to enhance the education students are receiving. All parents are encouraged to get involved with various committees at work including our School Advisory Council (SAC), as well as other opportunities to volunteer and be a part of our community..

Every student at ROE has access to  individualized learning through a wealth of differentaied curriculum. Every day students are engaged in highly rigorous learning through technology, collaboration, inquiry, and project-based learning.

I am so honored to be a part of this school and district. Thank you to all our staff, parents, and community members who make each day meaningful for the students we serve. Together, we are preparing our students to be leaders in the 21st century.

Warmly,

Steven K Bright
